Laser Clinics Australia set to Sponsor Winter Racing Carnival Fashion Stakes

In what is set to be the largest Winter Racing Carnival at Cluden Park in recent years, Laser Clinics Australia will sponsor the revamped Fashion Stakes competitions at both the Ray White Townsville Ladies Day and TAB Townsville Cup. 

The impact that the 2019 floods and ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has had on capacity at the two most recent Winter Racing Carnivals was truly unprecedented. 

Whilst the days' focus lay mainly on the track, there is a trackside activity that musters up just as much excitement. 

Laser Clinics Australia has returned as naming rights sponsor for the Fashion Stakes competitions, where the Ray White Townsville Ladies Day event will boast in excess of $5000 in total prizes

Owner/Director, Tracy McGlone, a Fashion Stakes veteran, claims the event as her most enjoyable of the carnival. 

"I love watching Fashion Stakes. I'm always very impressed with the amazing style that the contestants have; so much individual flair!

"Ray White Townsville Ladies Day and the TAB Townsville Cup is country racing at its best. A social occasion marked on the calendar every year, and quite honestly, I think it should be on the bucket list for all Queenslanders."

Tracy also had some sound advice for those contemplating entering the Fashion Stakes sponsored by the beauty treatment clinic. 

"Dress to impress and show your individual flair. Don't forget to accessorise. I expect to see lots of hats and fascinators and immaculately groomed men and women enjoying the excitement horse racing."

The advice echoes head judge, Drosia Parliaros, who recently provided her own tips for Fashion Stakes hopefuls with the release of the competition's criteria; which you can find here.

There are a few in-season trends that are sure to catch Tracy's eye, yet she couldn't place enough emphasis on individuality, 

"I love seeing the cut-out dresses and two pieces for the ladies and accessories carefully chosen to compliment the stunning outfits. 

"I also love seeing the men looking super stylish, whether that be a little touch of country with freshly polished RM Williams and an Akubra or a well tailored suit and fedora. 

"It is an exciting event to demonstrate your own sense of style!"
