Barrier Attendants
Townsville Turf Club is looking for reliable and confident Casual Barrier Attendants to join our race day team.
Barrier Attendants play an important role in the safe and smooth running of each race, assisting with the handling and loading of horses into the starting barriers and working closely with racing officials and fellow barrier staff.
We’re looking for people who are physically fit, safety-focused and confident working around horses. Previous horse handling or racing industry experience is highly regarded.
This is a casual role primarily across race days and scheduled barrier trials.
If you’re comfortable around horses, work well as part of a team and would like to get involved behind the scenes on race day, we’d love to hear from you!
Casual Bar Staff
Townsville Turf Club is looking for friendly and reliable Casual Bar Staff to join our team!
With a busy calendar of race days, weddings, functions and special events, we’re looking for people who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and delivering great customer service.
Previous bar or hospitality experience is preferred, and a current RSA is essential. Applicants must be available for a mix of weekend, evening and event-day shifts.

Track Supervisor
Townsville Turf Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Track Supervisor to join our team.
This hands-on role is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of our racecourse, training tracks and surrounding grounds, helping ensure they are maintained to a high standard for racing, training and events.
We’re looking for someone with strong practical skills, a great work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in turf management, grounds maintenance, racing or a similar environment would be highly regarded.

Groundsman
Townsville Turf Club is looking for a reliable and hardworking Groundsman to join our team.
This hands-on role will assist with the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of our racecourse, grounds and facilities, including mowing, gardening, general maintenance and preparation for race days and events.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work and can work well both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, turf care or a similar role would be highly regarded.
