Race Day Guide: 2yo Classic and Family Fun Day

You've bought your ticket, you've researched the race favourites, and the picnic hampers are pre-ordered; how else can you prepare for tomorrow?

We've put together the ultimate guide to maximise your experience at tomorrow's event!

11am

Gates open!

Public parking will be directed by signage and a marshal directing pick up and drop off points.

Move on through the Cluden Park gates and be in the first 100 to pass by the Check-in-Zone to receive your goodies bag. You can also register for kids and grandparent's Fashion Stakes at this location. 

There will be sunscreen on hand and an opportunity to register your child in the unfortunate event your group is split in the midst of the carnival atmosphere. 

Not a minute is wasted as the rides and entertainment kick off straight away and running until 5pm. There'll be:

• Ghostly Games
• The World of Disney Ride and Slide Combo
• Disney Challenger with obstacles and slides
• Laser skirmish with inflatable obstacles
• Unlimited fairly floss
• Unlimited face painting

12pm

Pick up your pre-ordered picnic hampers or choose from the delicious race day menu at the Michels Catering food van. 

Bring a picnic blanket or chairs to have your family lunch in comfort. 

There's no need to bring extra food, as there will be plenty on offer from the food van and the All You Can Eat buffet in the Sports Bar (numbers limited due to COVID). We kindly ask for you to leave food at home as this will not be permitted through the gates.  

1pm

Move to the centre stage in the Figtree Lawns for the kids and grandparents Fashion Stakes!

We're awarding prizes to:

• Best Dressed Boy
• Best Dressed Girl
• Best Dressed Grandparent and Grandchild Duo

The event will be MC'd by Star 106.3 FM's Crystal and Brady.

Race 1 gets underway!

1:30pm

The kid's will receive their opportunity to bask in triumph in the nation's cutest event, the hobby horse race. 

You can collect your pre-ordered picnic hamper from anytime after 12pm, so a late lunch is on the cards! If you missed the pre-order window, Cheese Delights and Ploughman's Feast hampers will be available on the day. 

3:06pm

Get yourself trackside for the 2yo Classic!

The day's feature race will be run and won over the course of 1200m. 

5pm

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. We're glad you could make it! 

Kids can collect a complementary bubble blower as they exit.
