Ladies Day Naming Rights Sponsor Announced!

8th July 2021

Ray White Townsville will come on board as the naming rights sponsor for Cluden Park’s Winter Racing Carnival event, Ladies Day.

For over 23 years, Ray White Townsville’s business owner, Julie Munro, has been devoted to providing outstanding service to the community with her unwavering and signature enthusiasm and energy.

Julie has a long-standing relationship with Cluden Park as well as horse racing and race day fashion.

“The passion for the sport is something you can certainly feel from trainers, jockeys and owners when you visit Cluden Park on a race day,” admitted Munro, or as she is commonly known as, Jools.

“Cluden Park is very special, and it’s the regulars that attend the races that have welcomed my husband, Errol, and I with open hearts and minds.

“The people at Cluden Park involved with the operations and service are very special people.”

“This day allows Ray White Townsville to toast all the wonderful women of our region.

“To be involved with the Townsville community, in the grounds of this spectacularly renovated venue, is a dream come true.

“Townsville sometimes needs reasons to celebrate the great opportunities our community has inside its own boarders, and Ray White Townsville Ladies Day is one of those of events!”

All ticketholders will have trackside access to this year’s Ray White Townsville Ladies Day.

The Figtree Lawns + Trackside Action by Brown Brothers ticket holders also have as access to the newly completed Day Stalls, signature wines and cocktails from Wine Brothers Winery and Tap That Mobile Bars; makeup touchups are on offer from Blushous Bridal, Beauty and Make-Up Artistry.

When asked what she’s most looking forward to, Jools noted:

“The Laser Clinics Australia Fashion Stakes will be a highlight for me. Women who help women makes me very happy.”

Race-goers can look forward to the Laser Clinics Australia Fashion Stakes Competition which will take place in the Coffee Club Pavilion, and is open for entry to all ticketholders. Likewise, the Stockland Fashion Parade, will feature the Fashion Stakes category winners.

As a guest judge Jools was asked what she will be looking for in the category finalists.

“It is the lady who is shining her authentic self through her outfit choices that will always grab my attention.

“It will be the glint in her eyes, her kindness and warmth to other women, her ability to really walk her own walk; the vibe and the energy of the human, that will take my breath away.

When offering fashion advice however, Jools couldn’t help but make light of the fact that nowadays she prefers comfort over glamour.

“My sense of fashion comes from a sense of being cool.

“I adore long blooming sleeves which encourage air flow and I love anything that allows breezes to wash through the outfit onto my legs and arms and everywhere possible.

“I cannot wait to be sipping on a Brown Brothers’ Wine, under the shade of a Figtree.”

Cluden Park is thrilled to welcome aboard Julie Munro and the Ray White Townsville family to our Winter Racing Carnival.
