The Fashion Series spans across all three of Cluden Park's Winter Carnival Race Days: the 2YO Classic, Ladies Day, and Townsville Cup.

To earn your place in the prestigious Fashion Series Final, you must win either the Classic or Contemporary category on any of the series race days.

The stakes? Nothing short of extraordinary.

Overview:

  1. The Fashions on the Field Fashion Series ("the Series") is a multi-event style competition hosted by Cluden Park.
  2. Winners from select categories at participating race days will qualify to compete in the Series Final for the title of Fashion Series Winner – Face of the Races.

Eligibility & Progression: 

  1. Entry into individual race day competitions is open to all participants who meet the eligibility requirements for each category.
  2. Only 1st place winners of the Classic Lady and Contemporary Lady categories from each qualifying event will be eligible to progress to the Fashion Series Final.
  3. Finalists must be available to attend the Series Final event on 9th August 2025 at Cluden Park. If a finalist is unable to attend, a runner-up may be offered the place at the organiser’s discretion.

Qualifying Events:

  1. The Series will include the following qualifying race days:
  • Lawrence & Hanson 2YO Classic  – 7th June 2025
  • Ladbrokes Ladies Day – 2nd August 2025
  • Ladbrokes Townsville Cup – 9th August 2025
  1. One winner from each eligible category at each event will secure a place in the Fashion Series Final.
  2. In addition to the qualifying race day events, a Digital Fashion Competition will be held during June and July, offering an additional opportunity for entrants to qualify for the Fashion Series Final.
  3. Two winners will be selected from the Digital Competition.

Final Judging: 

  1. The final will be held on 9th August 2025, with full details to be provided to all qualifying finalists.
  2. Finalists will be judged on their overall presentation, originality, racewear appropriateness, grooming, and confidence.
  3. Finalists must wear the same outfit worn during their qualifying win.
  4. Judging panels will be appointed by the event organiser for each race day and the Series Final.
  5. All judging decisions are final. No correspondence or disputes will be entered into.
  6. The Series Final will determine one Fashion Series Winner, selected from the pool of finalists.

Participation Rules: 

  • Entrants who qualify for the Fashion Series Final by winning the Classic or Contemporary category at a participating race day or through the Digital Competition are still eligible to enter future qualifying events within the same Series.
  • However, if a previously qualified entrant wins a qualifying category again at a subsequent race day, the runner-up from that event will be awarded the qualifying position for the Fashion Series Final.
  • Qualified entrants are required to wear the original outfit they qualified in when competing in the Fashion Series Final. Minor alterations or adjustments for fit or comfort are permitted, but the overall look must remain the same.
  • This rule allows entrants to continue enjoying the race day competitions while ensuring that the Series Final features a diverse group of finalists.
