Townsville Turf Club proudly delivers North Queensland’s largest and most prestigious Fashions Series as a highlight of our iconic Winter Racing Carnival.

Boasting over $60,000 in total prize value across the Carnival, this standout competition sets the benchmark for race day style in the region. Showcased across three signature events the 2YO Classic Race Day, Ladies Day and the renowned Townsville Cup Fashions on the Field celebrates the very best in trackside fashion.

The competition features five distinguished categories, recognising excellence across every element of race day style: Classic, Contemporary, Best Dressed Gentleman, Best Dressed Duo, Millinery, and the coveted Fashions Series Winner, awarded to the ultimate style standout across the Carnival.

From bold statement pieces to refined, timeless elegance, competitors step out in striking ensembles that embody the glamour, sophistication and vibrancy of the Carnival.   • Townsville Cup 2026 will be held on 8th August 2026 at Townsville Turf Club 
  • Gates open at 10am
  • Full race times will be available closer to the event
  • The Townsville Cup feature race time will be published with the official race schedule.
  • This is an 18+ Event
  • All ticket-holders have trackside access to enjoy the full day of racing. 
  • Ticket inclusions depend on your ticket type. Please refer to your ticket description at purchase.
  • Tickets are generally non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. Please refer to the ticketing terms and conditions. 
  • Get up close and personal with thoroughbred racehorses in the new, state of the art tie-up stalls before seeing them down the finishing straight.
  • Stay on into the night with the official afterparty getting underway at Townsville Turf Club as soon as the last race is run. 
  • Townsville Cup is a premium race day event. We encourage racewear and smart attire.

  • No BYO food or beverages are permitted.

  • A wide range of bars and food outlets will be operating throughout the venue.
  • Bars and outlets accept EFTPOS. ATMs may be limited. No Cash
  • There is a designated ride share drop-off zone as well as a shuttle bus to the ville t the end of the event. 
  • Bookmakers and TAB facilities will be operating on course
  • Fashions on the Field competitions will take place on the day, with fantastic prizes to be won.
  • Entertainment and DJs will be performing throughout the day and into the post-race celebrations.
